A six week introduction to the fundamentals of improvisation comedy for kids aged 9 – 13. Instructors Julianne Snepsts and Lenny Epstein will lead the group in fun activities and exercises, focusing on listening, team work and being silly! The games and scene work will provide skills useful in future acting, music, dance performance and develop confidence.
With substantial improv and teaching experience, these two members of the County’s Artisanal Comedy Troupe Taste That! have studied at Second City and Bad Dog Theatre, taught at St. Lawrence College and Queen’s and have taught improv to elementary and high school students, as well as adults. Julianne and Lenny have been performing together for over 5 years, appearing on stage at the Big City Improv Festival, MPROV and Comedy Country. Their commitment to a supportive and inclusive learning environment makes their class a safe space to try new things and learn the fundamentals of improv.
