Studio Mentoring with Elizabeth Hutchinson

An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Friday, repeating until April 5, 2019
Bring your work in progress, or your ideas and materials for new work to this class for encouragement, mentorship, and practical painting help getting your ideas on the canvas. This class is meant to help painters gain new practical knowledge, solve common painting problems and learn to paint quickly and with confidence.
- Session #2: Fridays – March 22 and 29, April 5, (3 weeks), 10:00 am – 1:00 pm; or,
- Session #3: Fridays – April 26, May 3 and 10, (3 weeks), 10:00 am – 1:00 pm; or,
- Session #4: Fridays – May 31, June 14 and 28, (3 weeks), 10:00 am – 1:00 pm.
Cost: Each three-week session – $90. Students are expected to bring their own paints and other materials. Space is limited.
Supplies: Artists are strongly encouraged to bring the paints they normally use to the studio to use in this class – either oil or acrylic colors and the palette they feel comfortable using. This class is about mentoring and Elizabeth is here to work with you, meaning that she is most interested in the colors and ideas you bring with you to your class and to your own work. Elizabeth is here to offer encouragement and her experience as a painter. There will be lots of demonstration and hands-on, technical painting support.

Elizabeth was given a full year’s entrance scholarship at OCAD and finished her studies there in Experimental Art. She holds a degree in fine art from the University of Guelph and earned another scholarship to study at New York Academy of Art where she graduated, cum laude with an MFA in painting.
