Throughout most of his illustrious portrait career he limited himself to a very simple palette of just four tubes (Vermillion, Yellow Ochre, Titanium White and a blue black). By utilizing this seemingly basic palette, the decisions around colour, intensity, and value become much simpler, and perfect flesh tones are easily attained.  In this workshop, students will work in acrylic or oil (odourless solvents only please) or water-soluble oils and will work…
