Travelogue from home – Japan

Japan is an amazing country – friendly people, rich culture and enticing food. All wrapped up in a hyper-clean country with easy efficient transport. Come and explore central Japan starting in the temple city of Kyoto, stay at a Buddhist Shibuko inn, hike ancient mountain trails, be spoiled at a ryokan and then get lost in bustling Tokyo in time for cherry blossoms. We will also cover the “how-to” of organizing and travelling in this wonderful country.

This travelogue will start at 7:00 pm Monday, June 1st and be conducted by ZOOM; please join a few minutes early and have your video off and your audio muted. Here is the link:

Technical info: ZOOM is a software program that allows a ‘host’ (us at Baxter) to set up and run an interactive meeting and have others (you) join it. We will use audio to complement what you will see on your screen so you can participate including asking questions. For this to happen you will need to choose which device you would like to use (iPad, smartphone, PC, MAC etc). Open a browser (Chrome, Safari, etc) and enter ZOOM.US and click on “JOIN A MEETING.” You will be asked to enter the MEETING ID which is 810 6788 9483
or simply click on this link:

The meeting will start at 7:00pm but feel free to ‘join’ at 6:45 to ensure things are working.
